Welcome to your everyday inner sanctuary retreat

Our mission is to provide a beautiful and dedicated space for daily yoga, dance, movement, healing and spiritual practice with gifted, intelligent and compassionate teachers. Our goal is to share a sense of community within the neighborhood and to connect with the greater, worldwide community through visiting teachers, workshops and special events.

We are so excited to begin to share our new vibe with all of you, our beloved community.

After months of planning, creating, discussing, and more, we have decided to transition both Pleasure Point Yoga and Pleasure Point Dance into Pleasure Point Sanctuary or The Sanctuary along with a new refreshed look and feel.

Why?

Our classes, our trainings, our instructors and our beliefs are around creating a sacred space for you to heal, move and expand as a human being and soul. We believe that yoga, dance and movement offer a unique kind of experience to allow you to shine in so many ways that compliment each other and we seek to offer every individual something that meets them right where they’re at. And sometimes we have to let the old versions of us go, so something new can be born.

So what does this new “identity” mean for you?

Well, we decided that nothing will ever be perfect. Being imperfect and shining within that imperfection is part of yoga, part of the process. And so, we’re going to be transitioning as we do…slowly.

We hope you love this growth and expansion of our own inner expression as much as we do. Growth isn’t linear and more often than not, it’s a bit messy. And we love this for all of us. We’re all in this thing called life together, after all.

What can you expect at our studios?

Pleasure Point Sanctuary is here for you. We support growth and healing to empower individuals and build a healthy and happy community. Cultivating a lifelong yoga practice requires a sustainable approach and methods which continue to challenge, as well as relax us on a daily basis. Our dedicated and highly trained teachers are here for you 7 days a week. Whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, you will feel warmly welcomed as you step through our doors.

Each breath is an opportunity to grow, each breath is an opportunity to change. A mindful practice, yoga asks us to pay attention, to become aware of what we’re doing while we’re doing it, and to take responsibility for our mind, body and spirit. It is a practice of coming home to what we already know to be true.

To support you on your path of well-being, we offer 30+ classes per week. Vinyasa yoga is a flow-based style that coordinates breath with movement, focusing on cardiovascular conditioning and strength building. Yin yoga is quite different; a passive style of stretching where floor postures are held for extended periods of time to access the ligaments and joints.

Our Story: We are a Yoga studio AND a Dance & Movement Arts studio that offers a loving container, holding space for our community to go inward on a journey deeper to self, to the jewel of your heart, and your soul’s calling. We offer classes and workshops in all things Yoga: Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, Satsang, Kirtan, Sound Healing, and Mindfulness Practices for a pathway to peace, health, and happiness. We are also a Dance and Movement Arts Studio and offer Dance, Dance Fitness, Movement, Self-Love, Pilates, Barre, and Restorative Stretch + Myofascial release classes to provide alternate pathways out of your head and back into your heart.

We offer Workshops, Destination Global Yoga & Dance Retreats, and are a Yoga Education & Teacher Training Center for both Yoga Alliance Certified 200 hour and 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training programs.

Classes 7 days a week! 365 days a year!

Why Yoga? Yoga is a practice, a way of life, a science and healing modality that all bodies can do. It helps to balance mind, body, and spirit and supports the integration of all parts of a person. While cultivating a compassionate and loving inner voice, it allows one to sit with self while noticing, honoring, and processing not only the times of abundance, balance, and flow but the harder, challenging, even darker times of struggle, hardship, pain and suffering. It builds compassion for self, others, and the collective experience both on and off the mat. “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self” is a quote from the Bhagavad Gita that describes yoga as a transformative practice that involves self-discovery, self-reflection, and self-realization.

Why Dance? Dance is an expressive modality that everyone can do! Our classes focus on having fun, feeling supported, cultivating self-love, learning to let go and to express yourself outwardly, building self-esteem, connection and community, and freeing oneself to dance like “no one is watching” or even build confidence to “dance like everyone is watching!”. Our dance classes are inclusive, safe and welcoming, which builds community, confidence, and connection, AND learning a new skill can give you a sense of accomplishment and pride. Not to mention, it liberates the soul and is FUN!!

Audience: All Levels, All Bodies, All Ways are Welcome ALWAYS! We believe in People. All People. All Beings. And our Community. As Krishnamacharya said, “If you can breathe, you can do yoga.” We also believe if you have a body, you can dance.
