Susanna Barkataki’s Bio:
SPEAKER. AUTHOR. TEACHER TRAINER. YOGA CULTURE ADVOCATE. IGNITE YOUR YOGA.
A teacher, inclusivity promoter, and yoga culture advocate. I see a world where yoga unites us all and excludes no one . . .But that wasn't always my understanding.
I’ve been practicing yoga for as long as I can remember. Rooted in my Indian and British background, as an immigrant to the US I experienced a lot of violence because of my race and culture. The very things I was made fun of for later became the tools for my liberation. Yoga helped me decolonize and love myself.
The way we do yoga in the West often continues to create competition and separation with ourselves and others. Instead, original yoga exists as a way to connect us all - dissolving separation within and without. Through personal experience and an educator and activist, I know that yoga is here for us to cultivate power and transcend our limitations, personally and socially.
I know that my passion is to help others bridge the gap between yoga as an exercise and yoga as a lifestyle... Because true yoga is so much more than just the poses. It’s an age-old practice that serves us all!
Today, I work to showcase yoga in action, spread the message of diversity and inclusion, and help people connect through yoga to live a happy, fulfilling life for themselves and others. And I’d love for you to join me in this mission!
We can learn authentic yoga culture as a vessel for shaping change now. Together, I know we can live a more fulfilling life - socially, physically and spiritually!

DESCRIPTION:
The Hypno and Healing Circle
A monthly gathering to use the power of hypnosis to rewrite our inner narratives, rewire our brains, and remember our power.
The subconscious mind is the most powerful tool when it comes to making meaningful change in our lives. This is where our deepest beliefs, wisdom, intuition, creativity, and patterns live, and it makes up 95-98% of the mind! When we make change at the subconscious level, it ripples out into the rest of our lives and we get to witness our reality transform around us.
Using imagery, metaphor, guided relaxation, and visualization, we can communicate directly to the subconscious mind to move beyond limiting beliefs, heal old narratives, and rewire your brain in service of helping you embody the person you truly are, and the life you want to live. Hypnosis offers a pathway to rapid yet gentle change, and helps us remember that we are in the driver’s seat of our lives.
What to expect:
Each month we’ll focus on a specific theme to weave into the subconscious mind in service of your growth, healing, and evolution. You can expect to leave each session feeling expanded, relaxed, and reminded of your power.
Gatherings include:
Journaling and self-reflection on the topic
Group hypnosis journey co-created with the group
Discussion and reflection
Turning it into action and leaning into the shift
Hypnosis FAQs
What is it?
Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness when the critical mind is not in the driver’s seat, and we have easier access to the power of your unconscious mind. The unconscious makes up 95-98% of the mind. This is where your beliefs, wisdom, intuition, earliest programming, and creativity live. Through hypnosis, we can tap into the beautiful depths of your unconscious mind to move through blocks, rewrite narratives, and rewire your brain to help you live in alignment with your authenticity.
How does it work?
The brain doesn’t really know what’s real and what’s imagined. It’s why when you watch a scary movie, you’re scared even though you know it’s not real. Through hypnosis, we can show the subconscious mind a new movie, story, or scenario that’s in alignment with what you want. We can speak the language of the subconscious — emotions, imagery, and experience — and heal whatever is holding you back. Along the way, we are also rewiring your brain by connecting new neural pathways that, through repetition, will get stronger until they become your new default.
Is it safe?
YES. A state of hypnosis is completely natural, and you can't get stuck. It's like the moment right before you wake up and fall asleep — awake but a little dreamy. You are in control the entire time and can never do anything that you don't want to. Think of it as guided relaxation and visualization. Can anyone be hypnotized?
Anyone can be hypnotized as long as you want to. While some people have an easier time dropping in than others, everyone is able to experience the benefits. Your conscious mind might still produce thought, and that’s ok! Everyone’s experience is different, but I suggest giving yourself permission to relax and let your imagination take over. What are Kelsey’s qualifications?
Kelsey is a certified Theta Hypnosis Healer

Navaratri, the nine nights of the Divine Feminine, is a sacred time in the Vedic calendar to go within and cleanse the body, mind, and spirit. Traditionally observed during the change of seasons, this period holds immense significance as nature transitions, inviting us to align with its rhythms. Navaratri begins on March 30 and concludes on April 7, woven around the astrological events of the total lunar eclipse on March 13–14. And partial solar eclipse on the 29th. Lunar eclipses tend to impact emotions, relationships, and inner transformation. They encourage introspection and often bring about changes in personal relationships or self-awareness. This solar eclipse marks a time for bold new beginnings, aligned with authenticity and courage.
These celestial shifts amplify the potency of purification practices, offering an ideal time to reset and rejuvenate.
Navaratri honors nine aspects of the Goddess, each representing distinct psychological and spiritual aspects within us. By aligning our practices with their energies, we transcend limitations and awaken to our highest potential. Through cleansing rituals, disciplined living, and devotion, this time becomes an alchemical process of shedding old layers and inviting renewal.

The crest jewel of the Vedas is Bhakti, devotion, and the mahamantra is directly tied to Bhakti Yoga as one of the principle processes of Bhakti. Come and learn the original and traditional practice of Kirtan as it is, with a clear and direct representation and experience of the practice in its most authentic form.

Benefits of Hammock / Floating Seating:
The sound healing is different when you are in hammock because of the way you experience it. Instead of being on the ground, experiencing the sound healing, you are floating, like you are in space, so its more zero-gravity experience, or like being in a cocoon.Location:
3603 PORTOLA DRIVE - located in our DANCE Studio to the LEFT of our Main Yoga Studio, in the same complex but located at the leftmost end, next to Dynasty Chinese Restaurant.
Logistics:
Doors open 15 mins before event start time. We will guide you on how to get into your hammock. This takes about 15 minutes to get all you beautiful bodies comfortably nestled into your cocoon. Plan for a full 90 minus with a full 75 minute Sound Meditation.
What to Bring:
An Open Mind for your Journey, Water. The event usually Sells Out, and I have props for each of you. However, some of us prefer our own snugly items to help settle in, such as Eye Pillow, Blanket, Bolster / Pillow. Optional items to bring:
