Mixed Flow
(Vinyasa) - Mixed Levels
“Vinyasa” means “to place in a special way” in Sanskrit (also known as Flow Yoga). Mixed Flow builds strength, flexibility, balance, and helps to align mind, body and spirit by consciously directing, using, and linking each breath (or “Prana”, which means “life force”) to movement seamlessly from one “asana” or posture to another. Each class is a dynamic, flowing practice, that builds on itself – – no two classes are alike. Each class will use yoga elements of Pranayama (breathwork), Asana (physical postures), Meditation & Yoga Philosophy, and hopes to promote a pathway to inner peace and happiness. It’s an awesome full body physical workout too! Welcome to All Levels, All Bodies, All Ages, All Ways.

Slow Flow
(A slower paced Vinyasa) – All Levels
Flow Yoga or “Vinyasa” means “to place in a special way” in Sanskrit. Slow Flow is a slower paced Vinyasa that builds foundation, strength, and proper alignment. In this moving meditation practice, poses are held for longer periods of time, allowing students to find their edge (that place in between exerting too much and not enough) and soften into the fire. We do not queue Chatarungas in this class. You may modify to the level of your personal practice. Extended pranayama (breathwork) and meditation practice is also weaved into this all levels practice.
-

Kirtan
(Call & Response Chanting) - All Voices Welcomed
Kirtan is The Music of Bhakti Yoga
Relax - Chant - Meditate - Sing - Pray - DanceKirtan is call and response chanting from the Bhakti Yoga tradition, a joyful practice of devotion. A night of heart centered music and chanting
Kirtan is a spiritual practice of Bhakti (devotional) Yoga, a musically guided call-and-response chanting of Sanskrit mantras of healing and empowerment. It's a musically guided meditation practice that calms the mind, relaxes the body, and energizes the spirit. Some say, it's like singing to your highest self, your angels or to the Universe or God (whatever resonates most to your heart as this is a very personal and sacred practice).
Kirtan is not a performance, but a collective group prayer. Together we will use our voices to participate in this uplifting and cathartic experience of chanting mantras.
Come experience the uplifting and heart opening affects of Kirtan, in a safe and supportive evening of sacred mantras and glorious harmony of call-and-response chanting.
No previous yoga, meditation or singing experience is necessary to participate.
All Voices Welcomed - Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
-
Satsang (FREE!)
(Yoga Sutras, Mudras, and Mantra) - All Bodies Welcomed
Satsang is a unique (and free) opportunity to delve deeper into the esoteric teachings of Yoga in the company of one another. It is a great introduction for anyone who is curious to learn more, and an open invitation to revisit and share in the supported space of the Sangha as we deepen our practice.
In Satsang, we gather together, in community to seek truth or, more simply, to be with the truth. We create the space with chanting, light, and intention, gentle rituals that help us to dedicate this hour to our study and practice and to one another.
We begin each morning with chanting the Gayatri Mantra, the ancient invocation to the Sun. We take up one Yoga Sutra (brief teaching) in sequence each week, chanting and translating the prior Sutras for practice and review, then translating, breaking down, studying the Sutra of the week and sharing how it applies to our lives at this moment. We practice pranayama (breath) and mudras (hand poses) before we settle in for about 5 minutes of meditation to allow the teachings to settle into our bodies and consciousness.
Come clear your mind and refresh your soul.
